Review: Claire Buss’s Ye Olde Magick Shoppe

Claire Buss‘s “Ye Olde Magick Shoppe” is a fun romp of a story.
The characters are clever and well-rounded, and the world is nicely hinted at. Also, the setting is reminiscent of a brasher, crasser (and funnier) version of Carnival Row, with a magepunk feel to it.
The plot is nothing big, but that’s just fine for a story this short. It’s more of a great series of events, logically related and sequential, rather than a complex arc.
“Ye Olde Magick Shoppe” is a quick read that will have you looking for more from Buss, Ned & Jenni, and the world of Roshaven. It’s available in ebook.
